e-TEN Privacy Notice
The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), which regulates the processing of personal data in commercial transactions, applies to Toyo Tyre Sales And Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd (referred to as “our”, “us” or “we”). For the purposes of this Privacy Notice (“Notice”), the terms “personal data” and “processing” shall have the same meaning as prescribed in the Act.
This Notice sets out to describe the information that we collect from you and how the information would be used and disclosed. By accessing or using e-TEN, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Notice.
1. What Information We Process
1.1 The personal data processed by us may include without limitation:-
• Dealer contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name, address
• Order information: products ordered, quantities, dates, transaction records, payment History
• Warranty and service information related to products purchased or serviced
• App usage data and device information
1.2 You are responsible for ensuring that the personal data you provide us is accurate, complete,and not misleading and that such personal data is kept up to date.
1.3 We collect your personal data from the information you have provided directly including but not limited to emails, application/registration forms, oral communications and written communications, through your use of e-TEN or from third parties such as credit information providers and our business partners.
1.4 In the event you provide us an alternative contact detail and/or contact person, you hereby confirm and acknowledge that you have obtained their consent for us to collect, process, and store their personal data in accordance with this Notice. You are responsible for informing them of their data rights and ensuring they are aware of the purposes for which their information will be used. We will process such data strictly for the Purposes and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
2. How We Use the Information
2.1 We are processing your personal data, including any additional information you may subsequently provide, for the following purposes (“Purposes”):-
• to carry out our obligations related to the sales and/or the provision of our products and/or services to you including without limitation keeping track of your purchase and warranty and to provide you support on our products purchased by you;
• to process and manage dealer orders and transactions;
• to communicate with you regarding a variety of information on products and services, dealer promotions, programs and incentives;
• to provide warranty services and support;
• to enhance e-TEN user experience and app performance;
• to promote and provide you with information related to our products and services; and
• such other purposes as may be related to the foregoing.2.2 The Purposes listed in the above clause may continue to apply even in situations where your relationship with us has been terminated or altered in any way, for a reasonable period thereafter.
3. Sharing of Information
3.1 We may disclose your personal data to third-party service providers or partners, including but not limited to marketing agencies, event organizers, contest fulfilment partners, dealers and logistics partners for the performance of the Purposes. These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and only use it for the intended purposes. By accessing or using e-TEN, you consent to such disclosures.
4. Data Security & Retention
4.1 We are committed to protecting your personal data and have implemented appropriate security measures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure that personal data is processed securely and remains protected against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
4.2 We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Notice, or as required by law. Once the retention period expires, we will securely delete or anonymize your data unless further retention is legally mandated.
5. Withdrawal of Consent
5.1 Providing your personal data is voluntary. However, failure to provide the required information or a subsequent withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to proceed with our obligations and services.
5.2 By submitting your personal data, you explicitly consent to its collection, processing, and storage in accordance with this Notice. Should you wish to withdraw your consent, you may do so at any time by contacting our representative as below. However, please note that withdrawal of consent may result in limitations or unavailability of partial or all services or engagements with us.

7. Changes to This Notice
7.1 We may update, modify or amend these Terms from time to time. Continued use of e-TEN after updates constitute acceptance.
